This year’s Quran competition was one to remember for students at Al Rayana Charter School. Students across each grade level were invited to participate in the internal competition, led by Mr. Ahmed and the Islamic studies team (Ms. Razan, Mr.Saleh, Mr. Hisham, Mr. Mohamed, Mr.Yaser and Ms. Nawal). The annual competition aims to encourage students to memorize the Quran through practice, reading and recitation. Students who made it to the final stage of the internal competition competed against students in other all Aldar schools, judged by an external committee. The following six students returned to school with individual awards: Maymouna, Maryam, Fatema, Ameer, Khalifa Parents also played a big role in the success of our students by working with them at home to prepare for the competition.
