Taif, a Grade 7 student Al Ghad Charter School, takes gold at the Challenge Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
A Grade 7 girl from Al Ghad Charter School won a silver medal at the Challenge Jiu-Jitsu Championship this weekend in Al Ain. Taif competed in many different fights to qualify and win second place in the competition. The Challenge Jiu-Jitsu Festival took place at Al Ain’s UAE University amid a carnivalesque atmosphere, where hundreds of children from a variety of nationalities attended to show their skills and future potential across five mats. The infant-level championship is key within the agenda of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF), as it represents an initial step towards developing and expanding the base of participants in the UAE. Shedding light on future generations of talent and champions, it is regarded as one of the UAEJJF’s most important base-level championships.
