At Al Qurm Charter School, every day is an opportunity for our students to grow academically, socially and emotionally. Teachers, students, parents are the essence of this ethos. We list them in this order because students are at the center of everything we do! We strongly believe our school forms the cornerstone of this symbiosis and the local community. We therefore provide opportunities for parents to learn how to support their children at school and are working with families to provide better education for a better future.


 

At Al Qurm Charter School, we ensure that our students have a strong academic proficiency in all areas. We motivate and engage them in the following subjects.
Math
We teach mathematics through real-life problems, delivering concepts in concrete, pictorial and abstract ways.  
English
We believe that to create strong writers we must foster a love for reading. We focus on key language building blocks so students can access materials and create their own work in English. 
 

Science
Our science program is hands on, as students learn best when they are doing. We are fortunate to have our own science labs to provide exciting, real-life experiences. 

Arabic
We teach Arabic in a rich and engaging way. We use traditional stories and offer a wide range of opportunities to speak, listen and write Arabic. Where possible, we link our Arabic studies to the English program to help students make connections. 

Islamic Studies
We ensure that Islamic lessons and values are not only taught in the classroom but lived and modelled every day within the school. 

Other Subjects
In order to engage our students, we provide a wide variety of other subject areas. These are usually project based and can range from learning about Formula 1 to exploring ways to make our school more sustainable.
