PUTTING WELLBEING FIRST

LEARNING WITH CONFIDENCE

At Al Ghad Charter School, the wellbeing of our community is at the forefront of everything we do. We believe that learning through health and wellbeing promotes confidence, independent thinking and positive attitudes. We also see the relationship between students, parents and the local community as an integral part of our school’s success. Our students surprise us every day with their new ideas and their ability to find and talk about the new ways they are learning.

We provide our students with high-quality education and a structured learning environment. Regardless of their academic ability, we offer each student a pathway to success.

At Al Ghad Charter School, we believe in creating a generation of learners who are innovative, brave and ambitious – achieving excellence in all that they do.

We exist to inspire our community to achieve, grow and succeed by thinking globally and acting locally. By providing the highest quality of international education, we grow our students into the learners, leaders and doers of tomorrow.

At our school, we have seven key principles that guide our students and staff toward achieving their full potential: excellence, innovation, respect, open-mindedness, bravery, caring and confidence.

What We Stand For

1.    Excellence
We deliver value and quality beyond expectations. We achieve peak performance by investing in the best techniques, creating and sharing exceptional facilities, and using the latest technologies. We encourage and actively support personal and professional development. We act with integrity and continually learn and improve.

2.    Innovation
We dream big! We believe that imagination, creativity and big dreams can change our world. We are focused on improvements and solutions. We empower our school community to be innovative and unconstrained. We celebrate thinkers and doers. We celebrate new ideas and nurture them.

3.    Respect
We care. We are welcoming. We listen. We care for all people and our environment. We promote understanding, learning and wellbeing. We do what is right, rather than what is easy. We know it takes people with different ideas, strengths, interests and cultural backgrounds to help us succeed. We are each important and unique.

4.    Open-mindedness
Free from prejudice and receptive to new ideas. Accepting the differing views of other people and treating those who hold different views fairly. Empathizing with and evaluating a range of points of view and growing from the experience.

5.    Bravery
Having or showing courage, especially when facing difficult circumstances. Willing and eager to face uncertainty or adventure with a sense of confidence and fearlessness, and often with originality.

6.    Caring
Showing empathy, compassion, respect and tolerance towards the needs and feelings of others. A commitment to service, acting to enrich the lives of others and the environment.

7.    Confidence
Self-assured and certain of having the ability, judgement and resources needed to succeed.
